Cleaning gold jewelry is not a complicated process, but it nevertheless is a process in which care must be taken. You will need a soft toothbrush, some mild dish detergent, and a soft polishing cloth.

When cleaning your gold jewelry first mix together a small squeeze of mild dish detergent with warm water in a bowl. Put the gold item into the soap mixture and let it sit for a few minutes. Take the soft toothbrush and gently scrub the jewelry. Pay special attention to spots that may need a bit more scrubbing than others.

After you remove the item from the soapy water rinse and dry it with a soft cloth. Failing to do this could lead to damage of your gold jewelry in the long run.
